Associate
Frank C. Sluzis, a former prosecutor, was admitted to practice law in 1984, and has over 25 years of legal experience in criminal defense. As both a former prosecutor and now private criminal defense attorney, Attorney Sluzis has handled several hundred criminal cases.
As a criminal defense attorney, Attorney Sluzis has taken over 100 criminal cases to trial, including several homicide cases. Attorney Sluzis has developed an extensive criminal defense practice, ranging from cases involving homicide, DUI, sex and drug offenses to white collar crime in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania.
Prior to becoming a criminal defense attorney, Attorney Sluzis served as the Chief Prosecutor of a state administrative agency. In this capacity, Attorney Sluzis worked with the Pennsylvania State Police and other law enforcement agencies in prosecuting violations of state law. During his years as a prosecutor, Attorney Sluzis developed skills and insights into how criminal investigators and prosecutors gather and examine evidence, interview and prepare witnesses, decide whether and which charges to file, negotiate plea bargains with the defense and prosecute cases at trial. Attorney Sluzis now uses these skills, experience and knowledge against the prosecution and to the best advantage of his private criminal defense clients.
Attorney Sluzis' focus is in getting the client the best possible outcome whether that involves challenging the legality of the search or arrest, negotiating a plea agreement or taking the case to trial. Attorney Sluzis loves to litigate and is at home in the courtroom. Attorney Sluzis believes that by always being prepared to go to trial he is in a better position to obtain a good plea bargain. But, if the government will not present a good plea offer, Attorney Sluzis is more than ready, willing and able to take the case to trial. Criminal defendants are well-advised to have a seasoned litigator and former prosecutor on their side.
Attorney Sluzis graduated Cum Laude from Elizabethtown College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. His Juris Doctorate was earned at Temple University's James E. Beasley School of Law.
Attorney Sluzis lives in Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, with his wife. He serves on the Board, as well as on the Finance Committee and Walk of Hope Committee, of Brittany's Hope, a foundation that facilitates world-wide adoption of special needs, older and sibling children through many humanitarian projects. His years as a criminal defense attorney have provided Attorney Sluzis with invaluable experience that he uses today representing clients in a wide range of criminal cases.
